I was born in Durango, Colorado and moved to Westlake when I was nine after living in Denver for six years. I attended Westlake Elementary, Colina Middle School and graduated from Westlake High School in 1982. I attended CSUN and graduated in 1987 with a B.A. in Broadcast Management. After receiving my teaching credential in English and P.E in 1990, I was hired as an English teacher at Agoura in February of 1991. This year will be my 26th at AHS. I have taught English I, English II, English III, English Eleven, Study Skills and P.E. I was also the varsity head football coach at AHS from 1994 to 2015. I am married to my wife Jean and our two daughters, Shelby and Shauna currently attend Agoura. I am currently pursuing a M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
