November 29th - Dimensional Analysis Quiz Corrections - Due Wed; "Calculating Dozens" worksheet

Final Review Packet due on the day of the final (Week of January 17th)
*All Late/Missing work from first semester must be turned in by January January 13th if you want it included in your semester grade*

01/24/12 - Read 22.1-22.6; Take 5 Notes Minimum (must be complete sentences)

01/30/12 - Guided Reading 22.1-22.5 worksheet - Do not write directly on the worksheet - Due Friday

01/30/12 - Color Maps Turn that on friday also. BRING YOUR BOOKS TO CLASS!! For the rest of the semester, I would plan on having your books in class, unless I tell you otherwise.

01/30/12 - Quiz on Plate Tectonics & all of Ch 22 on Friday.

02/03/12 - Do Review questions on pg 527-528 Every other ODD problem - must be in complete sentences (do not have to write out the question) - Due Thursday (02/09/12).

02/07/12 BRING COLORED PENCILS TO CLASS ON THURSDAY. Finish homework from 02/03/12

02/09/12 - Read sections 22.7-end of chapter. Define all key terms from those sections. Due Monday.

02/13/12 - Read chapter 23.1 & 23.2 & Presentations on "project" will be due on Friday, Feb 17th. 
          Requirements for project- be creative & have fun
          Turn in Outline (basic rough draft)
          Turn in "story" of your world that you created - Typed - 1-3                       pages double spaced
          Full poster board - colored
          Presented in front of class (5-6 Minutes)
BRING YOUR BOOK TO CLASS on Wednesday

02/15/12 - Finish the project and be ready to present on Friday. Also, read chapter 23.1-23.3 and answer the following questions:

1. What is the Earth made up of?
2. What is the Earth's crust made up of?
3. What characteristics are in minerals?
4. What is the difference between a crystalline solid and an amorphous solid?
5. What are some properties of a mineral? (section 23.3)

02/22/12 - Read ch 23.6-23.10 & do problems on pg 553 (17-31 odd). Answers must be in complete sentences to receive credit

02/28/12 - Read Rock Cycle from Chapter 23.10. Draw a complete rock cycle (and color). A complete rock cycle can be found on page 552. Bring your books to class!

03/01/12 - Finish study guide and study for your test. There is a test on March 5th, 2012, on chapter 22 all, and rock cycle 23.10. There also may be questions on specific types of rock (igneous, metamorphic, sedimentary or magma)

03/12/12 - Finish coloring the 4 different cycles - water cycle, nitrogen cycle, carbon cycle and phosphorus cycle

05/10/12 - Study for evolution slides. Powerpoints found at the bottom of the website (ch 15 & ch 16)
