For the Homework Assignment due on 5/4 (for Per. 3 and Per. 5) and 5/7(for Per. 4): Choose ONE of the three numbered options below, and answer the corresponding questions. Since this assignment is about being "environmentally responsible", you do not have to print out the entire assignment if you do not wish, as each is at least 5 pages in length. If you would like, you can copy and paste the questions into a separate word document and answer them there, or you can hand write your responses. However, if you would rather not complicate things, you are welcome to print the document in its entirety.

Bring your book on 3/8 and 3/9!

For those of you who will miss class on 3/8 or 3/9...here is a link to the Century Video so that you can watch it on your own (it is broken down into 3 segments, and you need to watch all 3...though you have already seen the end of segment 3). However, if you would prefer, you can come watch it at support or after school in my class. But either way, you must watch it and take notes, as you will need to reference the video in your essay this chapter. A note guide for the Century can be found below. YOU ONLY NEED TO PRINT IT IF YOU WILL BE WATCHING IT ON YOUR OWN...otherwise I have a copy for you in class!

12/14 and 12/15: Chapter 8 Lecture, Activity

OVER BREAK YOU WILL BE DOING A CHAPTER 8 PROJECT! There will be no formal test on this chapter, however there will be material from this chapter on the Final, which we will discuss in class :)

For the Project: There is a link to the right labeled "1900s Advertisements" which you will need to use in order to complete the project. If for some reason that link doesn't work, use this address: http://library.duke.edu/digitalcollections/adaccess/

Also for the project, on your assignment sheet it says there is an example of a 1900s advertisement here. That can be found below labeled "1900 Advertisement"

FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVING PROBLEMS LOADING THE WEBSITE ABOVE: First off, you shouldn't have waited til the day before to do your project! *tisk tisk* If you use the search link and type in "radio" rather than clicking on the radio section, that seems to load better. I have had no problem loading anything from this website at all. If the link is still not loading for you kiddies, use the sites below to research. You are going to need to "dig" for information on these sites, so take your time!

-if you click on the first "subject" Abbott, Grace, it will pull up the advertising category too...
