First and second quarter (Fall Semester) we will make:
1.  Old English tile. 
2.  Pinch Pot bowl #1.
3.  Pinch Pot bowl #2
3.  Double pinch pot sculpture
4.  Slab coffee mug.
5.  Small slab box
6.  Final Exam Box

(Native American bowls as seen on photos will be introduced second semester)

IB Visual Arts Grades will reflect work in these two areas--Studio Work (SW) and Investigation Workbooks (IW).

As of 10/4/10 the following assignments are due:

IW--30-40 new  completed  pages in your Investigation Workbook.   There have been 5 weeks of school so far.  An average of 5 or more pages should be completed each week.  These 30-40 pages should reflect research and personal artwork reflections/discoveries completed over the summer.  AT THE TIME OF EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT***...HL's SHOULD HAVE TWO COMPLETED BOOKS AND SL's SHOULD HAVE ONE COMPLETED BOOK.

SW--One to two studio pieces should be completed each month.  The studio pieces should reflect research as seen in the students IW.  AT THE TIME OF EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT***...OPTION A HL's SHOULD HAVE 12-18 PIECES OF WORK FOR THEIR IB ART SHOW.  OPTION A SL's SHOULD HAVE 8-12 PIECES OF WORK FOR THEIR IB ART SHOW.  

***EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT WILL OCCUR BETWEEN MARCH 30TH AND APRIL 15TH, 2011.  THE IB ART SHOW WILL BE ON THE EVENING OF APRIL 13TH, 2011 FROM 7-9 PM IN THE G BUILDING.  ALL IB VISUAL ARTS STUDENTS WILL BE INTERVIEWED AND EVALUATED BY OUR VISITING EXAMINER ON EITHER APRIL 14TH OR APRIL 15TH.
