Attention Freshman Families! PDF Print E-mail
Entering High School is a big transition - and a time, developmentally, to begin taking more responsibility for balancing academics, extra-curricular activity, and a social life.  We want to invite you to attend a Freshman Family Meeting where we will provide a basic roadmap and tools that will put you in the driver's seat.  At this meeting, we will go over resources that are available to yor student so that you and your student can better plan for a successful high school experience. You will also sign on to learn to use NAVIANCE, our career and college planning website.

ACTIVITIES



Attention Sophomores! Bring some extra cash and come to the Main Quad at lunch today, October 21st to purchase some rockin’ socks, bandanas, tanks, or tees! Prices are as follows: Socks - $5, Bandanas - $2, Tanks and Tees - $15. Get ready to show purple pride on class color day this Friday!

Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, October 25th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm in the “G” Building. Students must check in before 9:00 pm. Students must have their student I.D. to enter the dance and guests must bring a school I.D. or driver’s license. Limo drop off will be at the half circle in front of the school. Security will not permit gum, perfume, food or water bottles in to the dance.

Pep Rally: Do you want your class section to look awesome in the Homecoming Pep Rally? Come to room K-4 during lunch or support to make posters for your class before October 23rd!

Do you Want Spirit Points? Do you want you class section to look awesome at the Pep Rally? Come to the rally rehearsal this Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 7:00 pm in the gym to hang up posters for your class.

Don’t Miss the Theatre 3 Class’ production, “Almost Maine” this Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm in the PAEC Black Box. It is a romantic comedy that will charm every audience member. Tickets are going fast so buy yours at www.thepaecs.org.

In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month there will be a sale of cookies, candy, and brownies today, October 21st and next Tuesday, October 28th, after school in the half circle outside of the Main Office. Prices range from $2.00 - $5.00 and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Blood Drive on October 29th: If you are a 16 years old and plan to donate blood at the drive, you must turn in your parent consent form to room K-4 before the 29th.  

Reflections Contest: Come to find out how to enter the PTA Reflections contest during Reflections Club on Tuesdays in room E-1 during lunch. Submissions are due November 1st.

Do you Need Help in English? English Honor Society has tutors in room K-9 every day during Support Period. Come get help with essays, grammar, and anything else English related.

Numbers got you Down? Need help with math? If so, come to room M-10 for free, one-on-one tutoring by our amazing math tutors. Math Tutoring is open during support, lunch and 6th period.

Free Foreign Language Tutoring every day at support in room M-9.



ATHLETICS



Girls Soccer Tryouts will be Wednesday, November 12th through Friday, November 14th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the stadium. As a reminder, you must be cleared through the AAC prior to participating in tryouts.

The Following Clubs will be Meeting Today at Lunch: Club Pablove in Mr. Correia’s room, D-11, and Girls Learn International in room N-1 will have food.
