Off Campus Lunch/Support Pass Rules
AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL
OFF CAMPUS LUNCH/SUPPORT PERIOD PASS RULES AND REGULATIONS
PURPOSE: To give those 11th and 12th grade students who are eligible with parental consent, the privilege to go off campus during lunch and support. 9th and 10th graders are to remain on campus at all times.
APPLICATION: The off campus pass application must be signed by the parent, guardian or person having custody by court order in the Attendance Office. The pass must also be approved by an Agoura High School administrator.
REGULATIONS: Students who have issued an off campus pass (2.0 GPA and no more than one fail) may leave the campus immediately at the start of lunch or support period but must return in time to attend their next class. This off campus pass is good only during lunchtime and support period. The off campus pass is not to be used at nutrition. A $10.00 charge will be paid to replace a lost lunch pass.
THE PASS DOES NOT EXCUSE ABSENCES OCCURRING DURING 1ST, 2ND, 5TH, AND 6TH PERIODS DUE TO DOCTOR OR DENTIST APPOINTMENTS. STUDENTS MUST SIGN OUT FOR THESE APPOINTMENTS IN THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE WITH A NOTE FROM A PARENT.
IF A STUDENT IS TOO ILL TO RETURN TO SCHOOL, A TELEPHONE CALL TO THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE FROM THE PARENT OR WAIVERED STUDENT IS REQUIRED. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE PARENT OR WAIVERED STUDENT BY 3:30 P.M. OF THAT DAY, THE STUDENT WILL BE COUNTED AS TRUANT.
Courteous behavior must be exercised by all students while off campus and out in the community. Pass holders must observe all city and state laws, as well as the Las Virgenes Board of Education rules and regulations.
The pass MUST be shown to any faculty member, campus supervisor, security agent or representative of the administration upon request. Loitering at, or in front of, public establishments and on private property immediately adjacent to school is PROHIBITED.
Students must remain on campus when a closed campus is declared.
Student’s off campus privilege passes are not transferrable and may be used only by the person to whom it is issued.
GROUNDS FOR REVOCATION: Violation of the pass regulations including but not limited to:
- A complaint by any faction of the community against an individual (loss for one month)
- Four (4) tardies to the period following lunch or support after the issuance of the pass (loss for one month)
- A truancy or suspension (loss for balance of semester)
- GPA goes below 2.0 with no more than one F at each 10-week grading period (loss for next 10 week grades)
- Owing discipline hours (until hours are worked off)
- Parent/guardian may revoke the pass for any reason at any time
