English Honor Society: If you are interested in joining the English Honor Society next year, please remember that interviews are this Wednesday and Thursday (May 22nd and 23rd) during support in room K-9. Don’t forget to bring your application and a copy of your best outside work.
Message from the Media Center: All library materials are due by Friday, May 31, 2013. All textbooks will be due by 6th period, Tuesday, June 12, 2013. Yearbooks, diplomas, caps and gowns, schedules for the fall semester will be held for students who have outstanding library books and textbooks or have fines. Seniors: You are responsible for returning your won textbooks. You must clear all Media Center obligations by 6th period, Thursday June 7th in order to insure you will receive your diploma during the graduation ceremony. Seniors, please note that caps and gowns will be held for any library/textbook obligation. The Library/Media Center will be open until 2:00 pm on June 19th and will not re-open until August. Please check with the Media Center if you have any questions.

ACTIVITIES
Spirit Team: Please join the members of the Varsity Co-ed, USA National 2nd Place Team for a Q&A lunch meeting in room E-3 on Wednesday, May 22nd. If you are interested in being a stuntman for the 2013 – 14 school year, please meet in the gym foyer on Thursday, May 23rd from 3:00 – 4:30 pm for a “Stunt Clinic”.
Attention Sophomores! Demonstrate you extraordinary and creative talents by submitting a t-shirt design for the 2013-14 school year by May 29th. Forms are available for pick up and submission in room K-4! And remember, Black-out A-town!
Attention Current Juniors!!! We will be deciding our Senior Title for next year. The top three choices are Senior soldiers, Senior Serpents & Senior Sloths. Come to the Main Quad on Tuesday, May 21st during nutrition and lunch to cast your vote.
Attention Juniors! We have an important steering committee on May 28th. We will be accepting senior shirt design and talking about Prom. Be there and share your ideas with your class.
Finals are Approaching along with an overwhelming wave of stress. Don’t worry - we have just the right final exam package for you filled with goodies to help you through the dog days. These bags will be for sale for $10 each. Order forms will be online and can be turned in by email or in the Main Office by May 28th.
Yearbooks: Before you know it the yearbooks will be here. Did you buy one? If you want to to check, go to the AHS website and uner activities, click yearbook. If you have not purchsed one, you can reserve one of the 40 extra books that will be available. Please bring $115 cash to the AAC in order to reserve one now. Hurry before they sell out.
ATHLETICS
Baseball CIF Playoff Game: Good luck to our varsity baseball team as they advance to the 2nd round of CIF playoffs today, May 22nd taking on Tuabuco Hills. The game will be played at home starting at 3:15pm. Go Chargers!
Boys Basketball Tryouts are this Thursday, May 23rd from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the gym. Anyone interested in playing basketball next year is welcome to try out. As a reminder, you must be cleared through the AAC prior to participating in tryouts.
COLLEGE and CAREER CENTER
“National Public Works Week” is the week of May 19 – 25, 2013. The City of Agoura Hills is pleased to partner with the LVUSD to present our second Public Works & Engineering Career Fair at Agoura High School on Wednesday, May 22nd, in the Quad area during lunch. The event will be comprised of a collection of public, private, and academic agencies. Tables will be set up with representatives from the various agencies to discuss the wide array of activities that make up the world of “Public Works.”
SENIORS
Senior Beach Trip will be on Monday, June 10th. Tickets are on sale in the AAC only through June 5th, as a permission slip must be signed and turned in along with $5.00. The ticket includes transportation and lunch. Permission slips are available on the school website and in the AAC.
Graduation Announcements: If you ordered graduation announcements from Jostens, please pick them up in the AAC.
Requests for Final Transcripts will be accepted in the Counseling Office beginning Monday, May 13. The cost is $5.00 per transcript, payable at the time of your request. Be prepared to provide the name and address of the college and whether it should be sent by mail or edocs. Don’t wait! Order your transcripts early – it will be one less thing for you to have to think about during this busy and exiting time in your life.
Graduation Tickets: All seniors who took the Naviance survey will receive four complimentary tickets to graduation. Extra tickets may be purchased through May 31 for $10 each on the webstore or in the AAC. All tickets will be distributed at the graduation rehearsal on Wednesday, June 12th.
SERVICE LEARNING
Need Community Service Hours? Contact Coach Redmond for an opportunity to earn up to 10 hours of community service hours on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd. The softball team is hosting a big tournament here at Agoura and we need help running the snack bar and with field crews. There are only 4 spots left so find Coach Redmond in room M-4 or in the PE area ASAP.
