Agoura High School’s 7th Annual Fashion Show is Friday, May 17th in the PAEC: Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10. Featuring runway collections by 19 student designers. Come see Agoura High School Project Runway Show!

Parent Drop-in For All Grade Levels – Thurs., 5/16 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm in the Media Center: AHS Counselors will be available to meet one-on-one to answer questions about course selection for the 2013-14 school year. This is a great opportunity to meet with your student’s counselor. SENIORS
Senior Prom is this Saturday, May 18 at the Fess Parker Doubletree Hotel in Santa Barbara from 7:00pm until 11:00pm. Check in will begin at 6:30pm and there will be no admittance after 7:30pm. AHS students must have their school I.D. to be admitted and guests must have a photo I.D. For further details on the Prom and the rules, please visit Agourahighschool.net.
Senior Option Day: Seniors must complete one of the pre-approved activities on the option form either before May 16 or on May 16, but must turn in the form to the AAC by May 15. Seniors may choose to attend a study hall in the “G” Building from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm on May 16.
Senior Beach Trip will be on Monday, June 10. Tickets are on sale in the AAC only through June 5, as a permission slip must be signed and turned in along with $5.00. The ticket includes transportation and lunch. Permission slips are available on the school website and in the AAC.
Graduation Announcements: If you ordered graduation announcements from Jostens, please pick them up in the AAC.
Requests for Final Transcripts will be accepted in the Counseling Office beginning Monday, May 13. The cost is $5.00 per transcript, payable at the time of your request. Be prepared to provide the name and address of the college and whether it should be sent by mail or edocs. Don’t wait! Order your transcripts early – it will be one less thing for you to have to think about during this busy and exiting time in your life.
ATHLETICS
Agoura High School Athletic Physicals: Physicals for the 2013 – 14 school year will be held at Agoura High School this Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19 in the “G” Building. The cost is $35 and a portion of the cost will be donated to the AHS Athletic Department. Please see the attached flier for detailed information and schedule.
CIF Playoffs: Congratulations to our softball and baseball teams as they advance to the CIF Playoffs. Softball will play the first round at South Hills High School today, May 14, at 3:15pm. If they win, the will then play on Thursday at Beckman High School in Irvine at 3:15 pm. Our baseball team will play this Thursday, May 16, at home starting at 3:15 pm against the wildcard winner. If they win, the will then play again next Tuesday, May 21, location TBD.
CIF Finals: We have six track athletes competing in CIF finals this Saturday, May 18 at Mt. Sac. College. The boys 4 x 400 relay (Christian Williams, Andrew Costin, Jeff Oechsli, and Peyton Parrish), Idrees Bernard – Triple Jump and Taylor Sack – Pole Vault. The 4 xx 400 relay is going after a school record set in 1997. Good Luck to all of our athletes in the playoffs!
SERVICE LEARNING
On Saturday May 18th Westlake Hills Elementary is having a family fun carnival. Volunteers are needed. If you are interested, please contact Brandy Plummer at 818-399-4278.
Another Great Opportunity is on Sunday, May 19th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Kanan Road and Laro Dr. It is a Kids 4 Kids Carnival and a portion of the proceeds benefit Willow and Sumac Elementary schools. If you are interested, please contact Felicia Forman at 818-540-8768.
Need Community Service Hours? Contact Coach Redmond for an opportunity to earn up to 10 hours of community service hours on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd. The softball team is hosting a big tournament here at Agoura and we need help running the snack bar and with field crews. There are only 4 spots left so find Coach Redmond in room M-4 or in the PE area ASAP.
