To the Senior Class of 2009 and Parents
Congratulations on becoming Seniors!!!
We are excited to introduce you to Family Connection from Naviance, a Web-based service designed especially for students and parents. Family Connection is a comprehensive website that you and your child can use to help in making decisions
about courses, colleges, and careers.
Family Connection will allow you and your child to:
Get involved in the planning and advising process
- Build a resume, complete on-line surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers
Research colleges
- Compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from our school for students who have applied and been admitted in the past
Sign up for college visits
- Find out which colleges are visiting our school and sign up to attend those sessions
Family Connection also lets us share information with you and your child about up-coming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other Web resources for college and career information. To begin using Agoura’s Family Connection, go to this web address and follow the steps below:

On the home page, enter the code that was printed on your personal access card in the “New User” box and click “Register.” Fill out the registration page including your e-mail address and a private password. At the bottom of the page, check the box that you agree to the terms of use and click “Complete Registration.”
Note: When you log in to the web address in the future, your user name is your e-mail address and your password is the one you established during registering. If you change your e-mail address at any point, remember to update it in Family Connection.
The Welcome Page will appear when your registration is accepted. Announcements and other important information will be posted on the Welcome Page. Check it often.
Seniors will learn about all of the features of Naviance through a computer overview and training in the Computer Lab this Fall. We hope that you will find this resource helpful. If you have further questions about Family Connection, please contact our school Registrar Meredith Mangum.
