The Agoura High School Media Library Center is a 10,000 square foot facility which houses a library book collection of over 25,000 volumes, with adjoining rooms that house the school's textbook collection. Thanks to the generous donation of Mr. Michael Gallop and family, sixteen new iMac computers, as well as five new HP Compaq computers are available for Internet access, Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and various other applications. The library also maintains a collection of 28 periodicals to support student learning and interests, as well as a small collection of audio books.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Agoura High School Library Media Center is to help students and faculty be effective and ethical users of ideas and information through the management of print and electronic sources athat are reflective of the curriculum as well as personal interests.

Library Staff

The library is staffed by one full-time Teacher-Librarian, Ms. Cope, as well as a part-time library clerk, Mrs. Thomas. The library staff is happy to assist our patrons in any way we can. Ms. Cope is available for individual appointments during nutrition, lunch and after school to help with research projects, computer instruction, and book selection. Hours of Operation

The AHS library is officially open daily from 7:50 am to 3:00 pm daily unless closed for testing. Extended hours are offered once a week on Tuesdays until 4:30 pm in combination with the Tutoring Center, a peer tutoring club offering assistance in all subjects. Ms. Cope is usually available after school for a period of time, unless during swim team season. Please contact her for unofficial extended hours, which change on a daily basis.
