ROP offers all students aged 16 or above a chance to explore some great classes in order to explore a career field before making a commitment to a college major.  Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to learn job skills at an actual job site or in a simulated work environment. Career areas such as medicine, computer technology, sales and marketing, design and drafting, visual and graphic arts, acting and television production, music recording, child care, animal training, building trades, electronic and computer aided design trades, automotive trades, cosmetology and manicuring are among the selections described in the following sections from which students may choose.

All ROP classes award high school credits that count towards practical art graduation requirements. ROP classes are offered during the regular school day, after school or in the early evening and Saturdays.Classes are taught by both contract teachers and by vocational credentialed specialists who are experienced or employed in their respective fields. They offer realistic and practical learning experiences in a variety of settings.
